I founded Nortec Fire because I wanted to build the kind of company I'd want to deal with myself. We're not the biggest company in the industry, and that's never really been the goal. For me, it's about doing a good job, looking after our customers and building a team people enjoy being part of.

About Paul
I've worked in the fire safety industry for more than 30 years, and during that time I've gained experience across the design, installation and commissioning of fire safety systems in a huge variety of environments. I'm FIA and BAFE qualified, and although my role has evolved as Nortec has grown, I still enjoy being involved technically, whether that's discussing a new system, supporting our engineers or working with customers to find the right solution for their building.
As COO, my day-to-day role is focused on overseeing operations and making sure our projects, engineers and customers are well looked after. That can mean anything from discussing a new system and supporting our engineers to working directly with customers to find the right solution for their building.
I still get excited seeing projects come together and helping customers solve problems. Fire and security never stand still. Technology develops, requirements change and every building brings its own challenges, so there's always something new to learn.
What I'm most proud of, though, is the people at Nortec. We've built a hardworking, knowledgeable team who genuinely care about what they do and support each other along the way. Seeing the business grow, watching the team develop and knowing we've earned the trust of our customers is probably the most rewarding part of the job.
For us, Life & Property Matters isn't simply a strapline. It's the responsibility that comes with the work we do and something we take seriously every single day.
